As quantum computing advances, the threat landscape will inevitably change.
Quantum Communications Infrastructures are becoming more and more necessary due to potential security breaches by quantum computers.
NIST has released three post-quantum encryption standards designed to protect against potential cyberattacks from future quantum computers. These post-quantum encryption standards secure a wide range of electronic information, from confidential email messages to e-commerce transactions that propel the modern economy.
In view of the above, NIST is encouraging computer system administrators to begin transitioning to the new standards as soon as possible.
