Greece strengthens the resilience of its critical infrastructure by leveraging quantum technologies

HellasQCI will implement three metropolitan communication networks in Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion Crete, utilizing, among others, Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), terrestrial optical fibre and satellite technologies.

The HellasQCI consortium involves key research institutes and universities of Greece, which are able to address the needs for an operational HellasQCI infrastructure.

HellasQCI plans to cooperate with other EU Member States in order to boost Europe's scientific and technological capabilities in cybersecurity and quantum technologies.
