We are excited to announce a dynamic two-day training event focused on Cybersecurity with Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) Systems and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) in the frames of HellasQCI project! This comprehensive training program will equip you with the skills and insights needed to navigate the evolving landscape of cybersecurity and harness the power of quantum-safe encryption and the PQC algorithms.
Key Highlights:
- Learn the principles of cryptography, including asymmetric (e.g., RSA, DH) and symmetric (e.g., AES, OTP) cryptosystems and understand their security against both classical and quantum computers.
- Deep dive into the principles and concepts and the fundamental principles underlying the most widely used QKD protocols providing an overview of their implementation, the threat model, and the path that the QKD promises to deliver quantum safe encryption.
- overview of the implementation of QKD systems, emphasizing on the integration of QKD solutions into the existing cryptographic infrastructure.
- Explore the synergy between QKD systems and PQC for enhanced cybersecurity and their potential integration into existing cryptosystems
- Understand the challenges and strategies for implementing quantum-safe cryptographic solutions.
- Discuss scientific and technological challenges related to QKD and PQC integration in practical deployments.
- Monitor relevant standardisation efforts (e.g., NIST) as well as regulatory initiatives and their synergies/impact on the deployed QKD systems.
- Discover practical approaches to integrating QKD and PQC into existing security frameworks.
- Engage in hands-on exercises and case studies that will include the incorporation of QKD to provable secure algorithms such as OTP, as well the integration of QKD into existing symmetric cryptographic infrastructures (e.g., AES).
At the end of the workshop the trainees will be able to use the QKD infrastructure and will be able to understand the basic concepts that underlie its operation.
Who Should Attend:
- Cybersecurity professionals seeking to strengthen their expertise in quantum-safe solutions.
- IT managers and engineers responsible for securing sensitive data.
- Security and IT experts working on cryptosystems
- Researchers, students and practitioners in the field of post-quantum cryptography.
- Decision-makers interested in future-proofing their organization's security infrastructure.
