MOH is contributing to the HellasQCI project by testing quantum cryptography to secure communication links within its Agioi Theodoroi refinery. MOH will evaluate QKD technology between its primary and disaster recovery (DR) data centers, as well as an edge device exposed to industrial conditions. In phase 2, taking advantage of the Satellite QKD, secure QKD connection over Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN) will be tested between MOH refinery campus and the Headquarter offices in the metropolitan area of Athens. Working with NKUA and GRNET, MOH will support WP4 for Critical Infrastructures, testing QKD integration with existing networks for enhanced cybersecurity.

MOH adds significant value to the HellasQCI project by providing a real-world industrial environment to test QKD for securing critical infrastructure. As a leading energy player, MOH helps bridge academic research and practical application, ensuring QKD solutions can be effectively deployed in demanding operational conditions.
