🗺️ Directions:
The event will take place at FORTH’s main building in Heraklion Crete. Information on how to get to Heraklion/Crete and FORTH campus can be found here
The building where the event is going to take place is the one with the red pin in the map in the link

You can find plenty of hotels in Heraklion using booking.com or other similar apps and websites. If you would like to be close to public transportation and to the center of Heraklion you may consider a hotel close to Plateia Eleftherias (Freedom Square)
There will be buses to transfer the HellasQCI participants from Heraklion to FORTH. The buses will leave from the Statue of Eleftherios Venizelos (map) next to Plateia Eleftherias according to the schedule depicted in the following table and will have a label “HellasQCI” in their front window.

We are delighted to offer to the registered participants of the 3rd Training Event who will be physically at FORTH the exclusive opportunity to visit Skinakas Observatory. The Observatory is located in the picturesque Ida mountain range in Crete, it was founded in 1986, and it has become a prominent center of astronomical research and scientific discovery.
The visitors will have the opportunity to explore the advanced facilities and gain insights into the cutting-edge work being conducted by leading scientists in the field. Moreover, they will learn more about the involvement of the Observatory in the HellasQCI project, as well as the future plans for space-to-ground encrypted telecom activities. We look forward to your participation in this enriching experience.
