Dr. Ilias Papastamatiou, Senior Project Manager at GRNET and Coordinator of the Greek Quantum Communication Infrastructure (HellasQCI), has been invited to participate in the upcoming workshop on “Securing the Future: Quantum Key Distribution for Enterprises and Governments”, organised by the Danish Quantum Communication Infrastructure (QCI.DK).

On November 5th, from 11:45 to 12:15, Dr. Papastamatiou will present during the “Danish QCI” segment, offering insights and updates on “Progress & Lessons Learned from HellasQCI in Greece.”  His presentation will share best practices from HellasQCI’s experience, contributing to the advancement of secure quantum communications.

Following the speeches of QCI.DK and HellasQCI, a Q&A session will take place, focusing on identifying opportunities for collaboration, sharing expertise, and exploring potential joint initiatives to strengthen quantum communication networks across borders between the two  National Quantum Communication Infrastructures (NatQCIs).

HellasQCI’s involvement aligns with the broader goals of NatQCIs to streamline efforts for deploying the pan-European Quantum Communication Infrastructure – EuroQCI. The project’s contributions are vital in establishing robust cross-border quantum communication links, fostering collaboration with stakeholders, and preparing for the upcoming EuroQCI Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) call.

HellasQCI participation during this event, constitutes an opportunity to converse with other industry professionals and technology leaders and share best practices and key findings around Secure Quantum Communication deployment of infrastructures.

Through active participation in these discussions, HellasQCI aims to strengthen collective efforts towards the successful implementation of EuroQCI, ensuring secure communications for critical infrastructure, sensitive data, and the overall security of Europe’s future.
